A mobile ordering app that extends Nitro Bar's unique in-person experience into online ordering

The Problem

Nitro Bar is located in Downtown Newport, Rhode Island. And while it has decent local exposure and a high social audience, they are located very close to big coffee chains that allow more ease in ordering. To stay competitive and enhance customer experience, Nitro Bar wants to extend their online ordering services. The goal is to provide customers with the ability to earn loyalty points, track their orders, easily re-order their favorites, and clearly identify the location they are ordering from - making the process quicker for locals and tourists on the go.

Research

Based on our user personas, we identified the key wants and needs of our frequent and less-frequent users:
The App should prioritize speed and ease of use, allowing users to place orders quickly with features like saved orders, loyalty points, and order tracking.
Users need to see the order's status and have a clear, seamless checkout process, mimicking the convenience users enjoy from big chain coffee shops.
Introduce a loyalty system that rewards frequent customers, offering digital perks and rewards.
Tourists often need to quickly find the closest Nitro Bar, especially in an unfamiliar area. A geolocation feature would allow them to locate the nearest store easily and accurately.
Offering a top choices or bestseller option would aid in reducing decision-making anxiety, and allow a speed up of the ordering process.
